VANABIO® AS1591B is clear colorless liquid with a characteristic odor. It is the equivalent of Wacker's SILRES BS1701.


VANABIO® AS1591B silane crosslinking agent is suitable for water-repellent impregnation of construction materials (especially concrete and reinforced concrete). It increases their resistance to alkalis and reduces water absorption, thus improving durability. VANABIO® AS1591B is practically insoluble in water. It hydrolyze slowly in the presence of moisture (ethanol is released) to form reactive silanols, which can react with themselves to produce siloxanes.

  • Like VANABIO® PC 5901 n octyltrimethoxysilane, VANABIO® AS1591B can also be used as a surface modifier to generate hydrophobicity and to increase compatibility to organic non polar matrices.


  • VANABIO® AS1591B can be used in the production of silane crosslinking formulations.


  • VANABIO® AS1591B alkyl alkoxy silane can be used to render a wide range of surfaces and materials water repellent (e.g.construction materials, fillers), especially concrete and reinforced concrete.


Packing and Storage


  • VANABIO® AS1591B is supplied in 175Kg steel drum.


  • In the unopened original container VANABIO® AS1591B has a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.
